Hikes, Wildflowers & Music in Crested Butte

It seems that July has gone rushing by and we are nearly to August!

Flower_Long_LakeDon’t let the summer slip by as you work away in your office (note to self!)  Our wildflowers are still out and beautiful and the weather is perfect for an evening hike.  We were able to find a Mariposa Lily hidden on our hike around Long Lake yesterday.

The sunset was beautiful and the dogs were able to play on the hillside and in the water.  This is also a great area to get a sweeping view of Mt. Crested Butte-can anyone say “photo op?”

We still have plenty of summer left to enjoy.  The free Monday Alpenglow concerts in the park have been well-attended and the musical talent brought in by the Center for the Arts has been outstanding.  Don’t forget to pack a snack, grab a blanket and close your Monday amongst friends and other Alpenglow-ers.  Starts every Monday at 5:30pm at Town Park.

If Monday is not enough free music for you, then head up to Mt. Crested Butte on Wednesdays to enjoy free Live! From Mt. CB Summer Concert Series.  From 5:30- 7:30pm on the Red Lady Stage right at the main base area.

We’re excited to see so many familiar faces and lots of new ones this summer.  Thanks to everyone, locals and visitors alike, that keep our community friendly and beautiful!
